SIMON
Simon has been an operational police officer since 1994.
He has a passion for unlocking the potential in his self-defense students. Wether it be police, military, security or private citizen’s.
He has worked assignments such as patrol, motorcycle officer, in-service instructor ( self-defense/tactics/shooting ), pro active SWAT, narcotics detective, close protection officer, bicyle officer and was deputy chief of the police Brussels South, departement training until his retirement in 2023.
In his youth he was selected 3 x on the national rowing team for Belgium in 2-, 4+ and 8+.
He tries to stay active despite the injuries of life.
He has trained in English boxing, Thai boxing, Jeet Kune Do, Wing Tsun, Aïkido, Shooto, Kali/Escrima and various self defense systems.
He has thaught worldwide as a trainer for ASP ( baton, pepperspray, lights and handcuffs), Safariland Def Tech (Less lethal options), Safariland Protech (ballistic shield), CTS less lethal options), Simunition ( Force-on-force ), Red Man (force-on-force), Wallbanger dynamic entry).
He speaks Flemish, French, English, Danish and some German.
He is the President of Sheepdog.
KOEN
has a history as a lifeguard and swimming teacher. He now still teaches swimming lessons in a secondary profession. In 2012, he joined the Federal Police. He started working at the National Police Academy in Brussels to handle administration and logistics for the Department of Violence Control and Sport. It was there that his passion for shooting sports started and he got his first initiations into the world of gunmaking.
In 2017, he transferred to the Brussels South Police département until 08/2022. Today, he works for the Marlow Police département. Here he is responsible for the organisation and planning of police training, searching for new trainers,...
He has the insight to quickly spot mistakes in novice shooters in order to bring them to a high level at a rapid pace. This both in precision shooting and dynamic shooting. Pistol upgrades, helping you with equipment choices and more than all, thanks to his administrative functions, he has also mastered gun legislation and can help with all the paperwork from gun buying to sport shooter licence.
He speaks Flemish, French and English.
He is one of the three founders of Sheepdog Belgium.
ALEX
Alex integrated the police corps in 2000.
He worked in the 101 intervention service - emergency police - and then joined the BAC (Brigade Anti-Criminalité) in 2004.
He is currently an instructor at the training center in his police zone.

JEROME
is of French-Israeli origin, has been working in the field of protection and security for 20 years.
He is also very passionate about the workings of firearms and shooting (precision, dynamic,...).
His interest in all things safety and protection led him to start training in English boxing, krav maga and recreational shooting at the age of 16.

Over several years, he has attended numerous courses and trainings that enable him to be operational in the most complete and professional manner.
In 2010, he met Simon Verbanck who enabled him to look at shooting and protection from a new angle, improving and perfecting his knowledge.
He enrolled and became a member of Sheepdog. By training hard and a lot, he acquired the skills needed to teach.
He is a coach at Sheepdog and helps new shooters in initiation and other shooters improve.
